Wolfie & Smithy (family members since July 2021).
They lived in a gated community with other semi-stray dogs. Good friends who lived there fed them for many years and took care of all medical issues as well. After they moved back to their home country, another expat couple living there started to feed them but I continued to check on them at least every fortnight. Then the pandemic hit, and all the folks feeding them left. I had to take them in after seeing them emaciated and lost one day. I was the only one they trusted and knowing the fate that can await if stray dogs don’t get fed anymore and venture off for a new food source. Both became very happy here after having lived as semi-strays for about 14 years in a human settlement. Their eyes became really lively and they really started to love cuddles. Although very old (for strays on the street), I hope there are many years to come. It warms my heart knowing they can enjoy living the rest of their lives to the fullest here.
