Khaw (family member since January 2019).

She was given to me by a very sad and shaken Mahout (elephant handler), after foreign workers murdered Khaw’s brother for meat consumption. Khaw was next in line but, luckily, the Mahout could save her at the last minute. This hit me deeply, as it was less than 500 meters away from our sanctuary which is another reason why I NEVER leave the sanctuary unattended! Khaw is a Husky/stray mix, and one of the sweetest and loving dogs I have ever met - she just wants to give you love and attention. Those human monsters took advantage of this which is beyond evil! I whispered to Khaw that she was safe with me and no one would harm her again! I love this girl to the moon and back and am so happy that she’s a part of our huge family!
